Guru Nanak Business School was established in 2009 as a premier educational venture from Guru Nanak Group of Institutions. GBS was floated with an AICTE approval to start a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) with various specialization options. GBS holds the status of an autonomous institution with the flexibility of running a PGDM program, in accordance with an industry appropriate curriculum and teaching -learning methods. GBS follows an entire gamut of experiential learning methods followed by student focused strategies in a state of the art classroom environment.
In 2010, GBS added PGDM-Marketing and PGDM-Executive (For 15 Months) program to extend management education support to functional areas as well to the working executives in corporate.
By Dec.2011, GBS became successful in running the 3rd Batch of PGDM program, apart from placing all the students of 2009-11 Batches in a salary range of 3-5 lacs.

To improve the scope of program updation and make it innovative, a host Academicians, Trainers, Researchers and Industry Professionals have been added to the Governing Board and Academic Advisory Board as members by GBS. They come from both India and abroad.
GBS has expanded into various levels since 2009 under the active guidance and leadership of Prof K. C. Mishra, as the dean of the program. Prof. Mishra carries 22 years of cumulative experience of which 11 years of B-School experience including 5 years in a Foreign Trade Training Project in Pune.
